SHE ROCKS FITNESS : STRONG IS BEAUTIFUL

With 2013 right around the corner, a couple of important things are happening:

1. Sweet couples are getting engaged!

2. People are making new years resolutions.

A great way to start this next chapter of your life, especially if you are a bride to be, is fit and healthy!  I recently sat down with fellow small business owner, Kathleen Uhran of She Rocks Fitness, to learn more about about what she does and how to approach working out in a healthy way!  She explained, “She Rocks Fitness is a fitness specializes in training women! Whether you are a new mom, a bride to be, the woman who wants to train for her first 5k, or loose those annoying 10 lbs, I can help you achieve these goals. She Rocks Fitness is about training hard, eating clean, but still being able to enjoy life and have fun!”

This week I had the pleasure of photographing Kathleen (Katie to her friends) on a roof top in New York City!  Check out all of Katie’s pretty photos while learning more about this incredible woman below.

One of Katie’s dreams was to open up her own business!  It is so inspiring watching her make her dreams come true.

Katie’s motto is “Strong is Beautiful“.  Her goal is to help women feel and believe this about themselves!

The clothing and jewelry from this shoot were provided by Brooke Ciali Accardi, owner of the boutique in Madison, NJ called Statements.  You might remember Brooke from this previous blog post on great shopping for brides!

Katie, you truly are beautiful, inside and out!

Accessorizing is a must for Katie!  She always looks amazing, even when working out.

One thing I wanted to know was why Katie started her business!  Here is what she had to say: “After working in a corporate gym and the corporate world, I realized that I wanted to create my own brand and identity. I wanted my business to be personable; to truly reflect who I am; display what my passions are; and to inspire my clients and followers that living a active and healthy lifestyle is not only FUN, but attainable.”

When I asked Katie what is was like working with and training other women she explained, “Each client has different goals, needs, and environments that they train in. I always sit down with a client first to discuss these issues, so that I can get to know them better. It is nice to sit down with a client and have a face-to-face conversation with them, before throwing them into a workout. That can sometimes be very intimidating to new clients. After I meet with a client, I then work on designing a program to help them achieve their goals.”

Thank you so much Katie for sharing more about your passions and your dreams.  You truly are inspiring!  If you are a bride looking for a personalized training routine for the new year, feel free to reach out to Katie at sherocksfitness@gmail.com.  Not only will she have you looking AMAZING on your wedding day, she will make sure you have fun along the way. 🙂
