A warm wind blew through my hair as I stepped out of the coffee shop. With a salted caramel mocha latte in one hand and my favorite oversized tote slung over my shoulder, I couldn’t help but smile to myself.  I got into my car and cranked up my favorite Christian radio station, feeling like the luckiest girl in the world.  I had just finished meeting with a beautiful bride and I already felt like she was my new best friend. I didn’t know whether she was going to book me or not, but I knew that if she did, I would get to be a part of one of the most special days of her life.  I thought about how much my own life had changed over the past year and I said a quick prayer, thanking God for showing me his dreams for my life and giving me the courage to take the first steps needed to make them come true.

So many of us go through life trying to discover our true passions and find ourselves. We turn to books, teachers, family, and friends in an attempt to find our calling. God has an amazing plan laid out for you, all you have to do is ask.  If you are still discovering your place in the world, take a break from trying  to plan everything yourself and ask the one who created you what He has in mind.  I guarantee it is something much better than you could ever dream of!
