Wonder and amazement welled up in Laura’s eyes as we entered the stadium decorated from floor to ceiling in red and black. We were standing in the middle of the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ, known to most as the Devil’s Arena. Laura’s love for the Devil’s started before she was a teenager. Her parents took her to her first game in the old MetLife building and Laura was immediately enamored with the constant movement of the puck and the players up and down the ice. It was a fast-paced game, and that’s what she liked about it!
Years later she received a message from a guy named Dan expressing his mutual love for her two favorite things, dogs…and hockey! Laura agreed to go on a date with Dan and quickly fell for his outgoing personality and love for life! It wasn’t long before Dan was down on one knee, proposing to Laura under the magical twinkling lights of the Rockefeller Christmas tree. With her hands over her mouth in shock, Laura shook her head yes, happily agreeing to marry the man she loved so much.
Laura and Dan are getting married September 21, 2013 and I couldn’t be more excited for them! Yesterday, I had to opportunity to spend the day walking through Hoboken, skating around the Devil’s Arena, and exploring a beautiful Lyndhurst, NJ park at sunset. Check out a few of my favorites from their incredible day below.

Stacy, the Fan Experience Representative for the New Jersey Devil’s made sure Laura and Dan had an amazing time at the Prudential Center! She had their name and wedding day in bright lights all over the arena!

Laura and Dan are season ticket holders. They try not to miss a game if they can help it. 🙂

The photo above was Dan’s idea! Working in sales in NYC, Dan is pretty creative himself!

The best part of the day was Laura and Dan’s time on the ice. They had a lot of fun passing the puck as they skated up and down the smooth surface.

Dan’s favorite experience at the Devil’s Arena took place last New Year’s! “We celebrated by watching the Devil’s win in a box with 20 of our closest family and friends!”

When I asked Laura for her favorite memory, her answer was instant. “Watching Henrique score the winning goal in overtime…in game six!”

For a different look, Laura and Dan decided to go for a stroll along the adorable streets of Hoboken.

Seriously Laura, you are STUNNING!

Laura and Dan were so natural in front of the camera. They easily fell into adorable pose after pose.

For Laura and Dan’s last look, we headed into a park in Lyndhurst, NJ for some pretty photographs at sunset!

Could you guys be any cuter?!

Dan and Laura love being outdoors. The flannel shirts are a perfect representation of their personalities!

Nothing beats natural light. Loving the golden glow wrapping itself so naturally around this beautiful couple.

Dan surprised Laura with these teal cowboy boots especially for the photo shoot! So thoughtful!

LOVE.

Laura and Dan, I had SO much fun with you yesterday! You are such a sweet couple and I am already excited for your wedding next September!
So precious! they’re all so different and this couple is adorable.. you captured their fun personalities wonderfully!
Very cute! I love her ring on the puck and the scoreboard save the date! And the lighting in the photo of them on the stairs is dreamy!
Amy you outdid yourself with this one! Amazing pictures and lighting, agree with the one of them on the stairs! What a great looking fun couple!
Great job, Amy! These are all so wonderful!
Amy, Thanks to your hubby, I have been to see the Devils too! I really like the photos on the ice and the scoreboard showing their save the date. I also like the photos in the flannel shirts. Very contrasting and interesting to the ice hockey jerseys! One of my favorite is Laura’s head on Dan’s shoulder (very sharp photo). I also like the photo against the red building and the shot of them sitting on the steps. My favorite is where you caught the sun’s rays between them that gave them both a golden glow. Great job Amy!
Amazing job Amy- I just love the light!
