Laura + Pat’s Perfect Ryland Inn Wedding Day

Congratulations Laura and Pat! You are officially MARRIED! Your gorgeous June wedding at The Ryland Inn was filled with so many wonderfully sweet moments! From your emotional first look and the happy tears shed during your private vows, to the cheers that rang out as you recessed down the aisle with your adorable dog Stanley, everything was perfect! I am so excited to be sharing some of my favorite moments from your day!

 

The Morning Of

The perfect June morning was buzzing with excitement as Laura and her bridesmaids prepared for the most wonderful day. The Ryland Inn’s stunning Kiblewick House was the ideal getting ready location and a beautiful backdrop for photos of Laura with her loved ones! Rich greenery accents adorned everything from the bridal bouquets to the invitations and the room was filled with fluffy pink and white blossoms. I absolutely loved the matching NYC-themed pajama sets Laura and her bridesmaids wore, so much that I bought a pair for myself! Laura’s eyes filled with joyful tears the moment she saw herself in her wedding dress and it was such a beautiful moment.

Romantic First Look

Laura and Pat were so joyful during their first look, excited smiles on both of their faces! Pat was completely taken with his beautiful bride. It was such a blessing to capture the love between this sweet couple!

Elegantly Rustic Wedding Photos

After their first look, Laura and Pat shared some sweet moments together before their Ryland Inn wedding. They took this time to exchange special gifts in person and to read their vows privately to one another. I loved that Laura and Pat had these moments together with just the two of them before joining their family and friends for the rest of their wedding day!

Heart-Filled Ryland Inn Wedding Ceremony

The sun shone brightly in the perfectly blue sky as Pat waited for his beautiful Laura at the end of the aisle. The two joined hands and hearts in front of their loved ones during their Ryland Inn wedding ceremony. The stunning floral arch by Twisted Willow was the most gorgeous backdrop. The whole crowd erupted in cheers as they made their way back down the aisle as husband and wife, their dog Stanley in their arms!

The Cutest Dog Groomsman

The most adorable part of Laura and Pat’s wedding day was their precious pup, Stanley! I loved that they included Stanley in almost every part of their wedding! Stanley was a dog groomsman and wore the cutest matching blue tux! Laura and Pat held him as they walked back down the aisle after their wedding ceremony. I also loved how Laura and Pat included Stanley in their Ryland Inn wedding reception on their cocktail drink sign and with Stanley photo booth props!

Gorgeous Ryland Inn Wedding Reception

Stepping into The Ryland Inn wedding reception was like walking into a dream. The stunning chandeliers were dripping with gorgeous florals and the room was filled with the same greenery and soft blossoms. White linens and creamy candles added to the romantic, rustic tables. Laura and Pat enjoyed a private sneak peek at the room before their guests arrived, and Pat scooped Laura into his arms out of excitement!

First Dance as Husband and Wife

Laura and Pat’s first dance was one of the most incredible I have ever seen! There were so many twists, turns, and lifts, I was blown away. They looked like professional dancers! The moments following their first dance when they were celebrating with family and friends were filled with so much emotion and pure joy! These sweet newlyweds smiled as they were surrounded by loved ones, so thrilled to be married and looking forward to enjoying many more dances together.

How They Met

I adore the sweet story of how Marcy and Michael first met! As Marcy shared, “My fiance, Michael, and I met in San Francisco at a mutual friend’s Passover Sedar (now my favorite holiday!). We were “randomly” chosen to sit together and hit it off right away. I couldn’t believe my friend hadn’t told me about her super cute, smart, Jewish friend. He felt the same way! I convinced him to take me out on a real date and we’ve been inseparable ever since. We moved to NYC a little over a year ago and although I’m a Cali girl born and raised I’m really loving it here and am embracing being a New Yorker!”

How He Proposed

Michael proposed to Marcy at the end of December on a snowy day in Central Park. He planned it perfectly – the two enjoyed breakfast at the Boathouse and a wonderful day together! Michael specifically chose to propose on a snowy day: his strategy was to give Marcy a positive association with the cold to convince her to stay in NY forever! It worked!

My Favorite Places to Take Engagement Photos in Central Park

It was such a joy to capture sweet photos of Marcy and Michael in some of my favorite photo spots in Central Park! I love the portraits on Gapstow Bridge with the city skyline in the background! The iconic Central Park benches were the perfect spot for some cuddly poses! We also found a beautiful spot with incredible views of the buildings on 59th street.

Sweet Engagement in Central Park

It was so fun to return to Central Park where Michael proposed to Marcy! I loved reliving that special day with this wonderful couple. I hope these Central Park engagement photos will be cherished memories for years to come!

Laughter and Love

One of my favorite things about Marcy and Michael is how silly and at home they are with one another! Their Central Park engagement photos were filled with laughter! These two truly have so much fun together, and it was an absolute joy to capture these moments for them!

I am so thrilled for Marcy and Michael’s upcoming Le Chateau wedding this summer – and this fun couple is clearly excited as well! Marcy and Michael, thank you for choosing me to capture your engagement in Central Park. I am already looking forward to the big day!

Stunning Loeb Boathouse Central Park Wedding 

Does it get more romantic than Central Park in the rain?! It rained all day for Emily and Mark’s Loeb Boathouse Central Park wedding, but this could not wash away the joy from this sweet couple or their guests! Every moment of the day was filled with smiles, laughter, and love. Emily and Mark’s excitement was contagious and made their wedding truly special! It’s impossible to sum up such a beautiful occasion into one word, but if I had to pick a single word to describe Emily and Mark’s wedding day, it would be JOY!

Emily and Mark’s Love Story

Emily and Mark have the most beautiful love story! Mark proposed to Emily in 2017 on a gorgeous fall day near Battery Park. He even hired a friend to capture photos of the proposal so they could share the moment with their families! Emily was so thrilled that Mark planned out the day with so many thoughtful details. I had the most wonderful time in Central Park with Emily last spring! I captured the most beautiful cherry blossom bridal portraits with her! Even months before her wedding, Emily could not contain her joy at marrying her best friend Mark!

Getting Ready at the Park Lane Hotel

Despite the rain clouds, joy shone throughout the Park Lane Hotel as Emily and Mark each got ready surrounded by their family and friends! I loved capturing all the thoughtful details for their day – the taxi cookies were adorable! Emily’s bridesmaids surprised her with the sweetest photo album, and Emily’s sheer happiness brought tears to my eyes! There was so much love! Emily slipped into her gorgeous Catherine Dean wedding dress and shared an emotional embrace with her mother, father, and sister. After the finishing touches were done, Emily and Mark were ready to see each other for the first time on their wedding day!

Sweet First Look

We were blessed to find a beautifully decorated hall in the Park Lane Hotel where Emily and Mark had their first look. Emily approached Mark and you could feel the excitement buzzing in the air! Mark’s face lit up the moment his saw his future wife! I loved the sweet, silly moments between Emily and Mark as they took in the beauty of their wedding day! After sharing some time together, Emily and Mark hopped in a cab, hand-in-hand, to travel to Central Park.

Rainy Wedding Day Photos in Central Park

After capturing Emily and Mark’s gorgeous rainy wedding day photos, I am convinced that rain on your wedding day is good luck! The cloudy skies made for the softest, most romantic light. The greenery in the park came alive and Emily and Mark looked absolutely dazzling! This sweet couple were such good sports, making the most of their special day despite the raindrops! I loved the clear umbrellas they chose for their bridal party and had so much fun coming up with some creative rainy wedding day photo ideas for them!

Bridal Party Performance

Emily played Glinda in Wicked on Broadway and many of the guests were her fellow stars! When we got caught under Bethesda Terrace in a downpour, this talented bridal party broke out in song, putting on an impromptu performance of “Seasons of Love” for the groups of tourists seeking shelter from the rain. It truly was a magical day!

Loeb Boathouse Central Park Wedding Ceremony

After a magical day, it was finally time for Emily and Mark’s Loeb Boathouse Central Park wedding ceremony! Mark’s groomsmen and family prayed over him before they walked down the aisle. Joy filled the room the moment Emily entered with her father! The ceremony was filled with so many sweet, emotional moments and was the perfect way for Emily and Mark to begin their marriage!

Joyful Central Park Boathouse Reception

Following their beautiful ceremony, it was time for Emily and Mark to celebrate with their family and friends! Their Central Park Boathouse reception was filled with twinkling lights, soft candles, and gorgeous white blossoms. I loved the cute dog treat favors Emily and Mark gave to their guests on behalf of their own pup!

Gorgeous Backlit Wedding Night Portraits

After dancing the night away with their loved ones, Emily and Mark returned to Bethesda Terrace. They posed for the most beautiful backlit wedding night portraits as the rain fell, both smiling wide and thrilled to begin their lives as husband and wife!

Picture Perfect Bay Head Yacht Club Wedding

I’m ecstatic to be sharing some of my favorite moments from Erin and Devin’s gorgeous Bay Head Yacht Club wedding! This sweet couple was married last September and their whole day was completely perfect! Erin and Devin chose Bay Head for their wedding because it has such a special place in their hearts. As Erin explains, “Devin introduced me to this shore town early in our relationship, and it instantly became our happy place! We’ve spent our summers together in Bay Head for the last five years. We couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else! We are beyond grateful that our incredible friends and family traveled from near and far to celebrate our wedding. I loved showing all of our out-of-town guests my favorite Jersey Shore towns!”

Getting Ready

Erin and Devin each spent the morning of their yacht club wedding excitedly preparing with their family and wedding party. I loved capturing all of the beautiful details they chose for their wedding! This Jersey-Shore-loving couple went with a classic, timeless design aesthetic accented with pops of color. The pale blue, navy, white, green, and coral color palette was perfect for the beach-y feel of their wedding! The invitation suite designed by Simply Jessica Marie was absolutely stunning and perfectly captured Erin and Devin’s style! I adored the cute pajama sets Erin gifted to her bridesmaid – they made for the sweetest and comfiest getting ready photos! Erin’s first look with her father was full of so much joy – I loved capturing this moment before Erin traveled to see Devin for the first time on their wedding day!

First Look with an Ocean View

Erin and Devin chose to share a special first look at the Bay Head Yacht Club’s boathouse! As soon as Devin turned and saw his beautiful bride, he could not stop smiling! I loved capturing the love and excitement between Erin and Devin before their wedding ceremony! The whole wedding party had a blast traveling in the classic red trolley!

Joyful Jersey Shore Wedding Ceremony

Erin and Devin’s wedding ceremony at Sacred Heart Church was absolutely perfect! The whole church was filled with joy as Erin and Devin made their vows and professed their forever love to each other. After a lovely first kiss as husband and wife, Erin and Devin celebrated all the way down the aisle before heading to the beach!

Beautiful Beach Wedding Portraits

Following their sweet ceremony, Erin and Devin took to the beach for gorgeous wedding day photos! They laughed with their friends and family, shared loving moments, and Devin even broke out a pair of shades for some pictures! The gorgeous blue ocean was the perfect backdrop for these fun photos!

Romantic Boat Ride for Two

Erin and Devin made quite the nautical entrance into their reception! The newlyweds shared a boat ride into their cocktail hour and it was one of my favorite moments from their yacht club wedding! This romantic boat ride was the perfect opportunity for Erin and Devin to spend time together as husband and wife before the celebration started! Their guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the deck overlooking Barnegat Bay and cheered as Erin and Devin’s boat arrived at the Bay Head Yacht Club wedding!

Romantic Yacht Club Wedding Reception

Every inch of Erin and Devin’s Bay Head Yacht Club wedding reception was decorated beautifully! Katydid Florals perfectly captured the couple’s design style and brought their vision to life! I adored the watercolor menus at each place setting, accented by blue and white seersucker napkins. Each table was adorned with varying sized julep cups and classic silver bowls with blossoming hydrangeas in various shades of blue. Clusters of white pillar candles added a soft, romantic feel to the room. The effect was stunning, and I loved capturing all these beautiful details Erin and Devin worked so hard to bring together!

A Night to Remember

I loved the energy of all the guests having a blast on the dance floor to the Pat Roddy Band! During the reception, Erin and Devin snuck away for a few moments to pose for gorgeous backlit wedding photos against the velvety sky. The two shared a kiss on the deck before heading back in to celebrate their wonderful yacht club wedding!
