It was their third date.  Dan and Jen were enjoying a romantic dinner at Bond Street in SOHO.  They had only been together for a short period of time, but Dan knew there was something special about Jen.  Throwing caution to the wind, Dan ask Jen to accompany him on a trip to Paris! Knowing they shared a mutual love for tennis, Dan took Jen to Roland-Garros to see the French Open for their fourth date.  Their relationship blossomed in this incredibly romantic city, and it wasn’t long before Dan and Jen were in love!  Dan proposed to Jen in his apartment in SOHO and the two celebrated with dinner at Bond Street, revisiting the spot where it all began.

Dan and Jen are tying the knot at the New York Palace in a little less than a month and I couldn’t be more excited for them!  For now, enjoy a few of my favorites from their sweet SOHO engagement session below.

A sweeter couple would be hard to find!  I met Ryan while shooting Kristen and Will’s wedding a few years ago and remember totally digging his outgoing personality and awesome dance moves. When Kristin told me the story of their proposal, I couldn’t help but fall more in love with these two.  The week of their year anniversary, Kristin began discovering cards from Ryan in random locations, in her book, her coat, and her work bag. Each one described a memorable moment in their relationship! “I loved finding them but didn’t read too much into it”, Kristin explained. “Ryan is always doing sweet things and I thought he was just trying to make our anniversary week special.”  On the night of their anniversary, Ryan had beautiful roses, champagne, and a fourth card for Kristin to open before dinner.  Kristin shared, “The fourth card described a memory that we had not yet made but were about to make – the best one that had been saved for last, and by the time I finished reading the card, Ryan was proposing! It was really the most special and romantic moment of my life. I couldn’t have been more surprised or excited!!!”

Excitement built as I got ready to meet Clarissa and Ricky for the first time.  She is a nurse and he is in the navy.  Seriously…how cute is that?!  Clarissa and Ricky were married in a beautiful and intimate ceremony last fall. When they won the engagement session giveaway for the launch of my new website, I couldn’t have been happier.  We spent the afternoon strolling around Willowwood Arboretum, laughing and getting to know one another while capturing pretty photos. Couples like Erica and Ian make my heart so happy!  A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of capturing their sweet engagement session in Charlotte, North Carolina!  We spent the morning wandering among the gorgeous gardens and pretty trails of Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden. Erica couldn’t help stopping to smell the fresh rosemary, and Ian playfully pulled Erica underneath an ever-flowing arched water fountain!
