Kristen and Will’s Mallard Island Yacht Club wedding was truly a fairytale. After meeting while caring for the same patient (Will is a doctor and Kristen is a nurse), these two almost couldn’t help falling in love. Will was attracted to Kristen’s contagious smile and ability to always look on the bright side of things, and Kristen loved Will’s humble confidence and kind heart. Will asked Kristen to marry him in front of a beautiful sand castle on the beach, and this sweet couple began planning the gorgeous wedding day you see below.
Kristen thought of every detail! I love these personalized hangers for the bridesmaid dresses.
Kristen’s mom helped her into her Eve of Milady gown in the room where Kristen grew up. Kristen explained it hadn’t changed since she was six years old!
A big thanks to Mekina Saylor for capturing these great images of Will getting ready. I LOVE the custom look tailored exclusively for Will from Kleinfeld.
A little rain couldn’t keep the huge smile from Kristen’s face as she headed into the church to see Will for the first time!
LOVE this emotional reaction during the vows!
Guests waived these lovely pink and lace ribbon wands as Kristen and Will made their exit from the church!
This real moment is one of my FAVORITES!
After the ceremony we headed to the Mallard Island Yacht Club for a few gorgeous portraits and an incredible reception.
Kristen, you are even more STUNNING than this breathtaking bridal suite.
Mekina and I make a great team! While I was capturing the shot on the left, she was capturing the one on the right!
Kristen gave each of her beautiful bridesmaids a pretty pink parasol.
Will gave each of his groomsmen these super cool colored Ray Bans!
LOVE.
During cocktail hour, guests had the opportunity to play bocce ball and Kristen and Will’s personalized bride and groom corn hole.
Pink and white hydrangeas, sweet peas, and spray roses filled gold vases in Kristen and Will’s elegant reception room.
Guest’s personalized beach badges lead them to tables named after Kristen and Will’s favorite beaches.
These “Hubby” and “Wifey” tags on Kristen and Will’s toast glasses are so PERFECT!
For their favors, guests received Kristen and Will’s favorite salt water taffy!
Vintage postcards served as the table names on sheer pink organza overlays.
Kristen and Will shared their first dance to A Thousand Years.
Kristen couldn’t hold back tears as she danced with her father to I Loved Her First.
As the sun set and the sky turned a dusky blue, we headed outside to capture one last photo of Kristen and Will in the Boathouse. It was the perfect way to end a perfect evening. Kristen and Will, thank you for giving me the opportunity to be a part of your fairytale of a day! I wish you all the happiness in the world in the years to come. 🙂

Amy, I don’t say this often, because everytime I do, you capture amazing photos of an amazing wedding. This MAY be your best work ever! Kristen and Will had a beautiful wedding and you caputred these memories so beautifully. The emotions and different lighting situations presented challenges, but you creatively captured it all. I love the last photo…who wouldn’t. The picture of them on the deck walk way with the beautiful Boathouse in the backgound is really, really good. My favorite is the flowing veil. Beautiful Amy!
