Julie was across the room when Vlad saw her for the first time.  His heartbeat quickened.  As she laughed and danced her way across the room, Vlad thought Julie was one of the most beautiful girls in costume he had ever seen.  Dressed from head to toe as an 80’s go-go dancer, Julie looked stunning!  She had noticed Vlad earlier in the evening and it wasn’t chance that they quickly found themselves in conversation, discovering how much they had in common.  They hit it off right away and soon after became a couple!   They are engaged to be married September 30th and I couldn’t be more excited for them!

Julie and Vlad, I had so much fun capturing your engagement session on Governor’s Island!  It was wonderful exploring it with you as my guides!  I hope you will take a trip back to ride bikes together again soon!

Governor’s Island is located right off the lower end of Manhattan! It is a great place to ride bikes, have a picnic, or just escape for the day!

After renting this adorable covered tandem bike, Julie and Vlad explored the island together.  I love when engagement sessions become fun adventures for my couples.

This old abandoned theatre was one of the first things Julie and Vlad told me about when I arrived on the island.  I have to agree…it is pretty amazing!

As we took the ferry back to the city, the sun set slowly behind the Statue of Liberty.  Thank you Julie and Vlad for an absolutely perfect day!  I can’t wait for your wedding…less than a month away!  HAPPY SUNDAY!
