The sun was setting slowly behind the Cloisters, casting a beautiful winter light over the already pretty park. One of Manhattan’s hidden treasures, the Cloisters is a branch of the Metropolitan Museum of Art devoted to the art and architecture of medieval Europe. Located directly across from the 190th subway station it has a sort of romantic charm to it, often feeling like a completely different world than the busy city streets. Kelsey’s heels clicked softly against the winding cobblestone path. Trimmed with fur, they matched perfectly with her adorable chihuahua Mitzi’s Mulberry coat. Walking hand in hand with Jason in front of this gorgeous castle, Kelsey’s smile radiated true joy as she thought about how much her life had changed in just one year.
It was just one year ago that Kelsey and Jason met online! They shared their first date at Haru, getting to know each other over sushi. Kelsey was attracted to Jason’s kind and caring personality and Jason to Kelsey’s witty charm. Oh, and of course her adorable chihuahua Mitzi! They celebrated their one year anniversary on Wednesday at Rosa Mexicano and are so excited to see what the next year has in store! Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing their one year anniversary photo session at the Cloisters and I am so excited to share a few of my favorites. Enjoy!
We started off the anniversary session in the gorgeous park expanding past the grounds of the medieval museum.
Kelsey and Jason looked so happy freely laughing and just enjoying the day together.
What an adorable family!
Work is actually taking Jason to London this year! As much as he says he will miss Mitzi, he will miss Kelsey more!
LOVE.
Thanks again Kelsey and Jason for inviting me to capture such a special time in your relationship. I hope you will have many more happy years to come!
I love the dog and her coat! Great pictures and such a cute couple!
Amy,
I love the photos of Kelsey, Jason and Mitzi. You have to love the photo of Mitzi in her hoodie. I really like the photo of Kelsey and Jason where you blew out the background leaving an extremely sharp photo of Jason and Kelsey. My favorite is the gate photos….very natural and fun!
So pretty! I love the Cloisters. Great location. And I love the exposure of the photos – goes with the season. Beautiful!
