Chelsea and Kjael’s wedding at Bridgehampton Tennis and Surf Club left my heart so full. Relaxed, family centered, and filled to the brim with contagious joy, this wedding was beautiful in every way.
The early afternoon was alive with anticipation. Chelsea and Kjael got ready in neighboring beach houses. When it came time for their first look, the couple couldn’t wait to see one another. As soon as Chelsea’s feet hit the sand, her shoes came off! She wanted to be free to run to Kjael who was waiting for her down by the waves. It was such a carefree moment, filled with happy tears! Afterwards, their families joined them on the beach for one big group hug. For Chelsea and Kjael, this day was a celebration of two families joining together for a lifetime.
The bridal party slipped on shades for some fun pre-ceremony photos on the Bridgehampton beach. Family and friends started to arrive, trading their dancing shoes for sandals to wear as they made their way to their seats in the sand. Chelsea and Kjael exchanged personal vows to the sounds of the waves breaking on the shore behind them. Their ear to ear smiles as they made their way down the aisle, officially husband and wife, was one of my favorite moments of the entire day.
Bright, nautical-inspired details decorated the Bridgehampton Tennis and Surf Club. Chelsea and Kjael lit up the reception as they entered, hand-in-hand, ready to celebrate with their those they love most. Their first dance embodied their fun, contagious energy, both with tender moments and some fancy footwork!
When Chelsea’s dad gave his father of the bride speech, he explained that out of the many thousands of days he had lived, only eight really mattered. The day he met his wife, the day they got married, the days his three kids were born, and now their wedding days. As I look at the true joy in these photos, I can’t help but think that for Chelsea and Kjael, this day will be one of those days for them.
