CENTRAL PARK BOATHOUSE & ST PATRICKS CATHEDRAL WEDDING: MARGARET + RYAN

Margaret and Ryan pose together at their Loeb Boathouse Central Park wedding in a Central Park wedding photo by NYC wedding photographer Amy Rizzuto.

Breathtaking city skylines, landmark destinations, and a vintage yellow cab made Margaret and Ryan’s Loeb Boathouse Central Park wedding day a true New York city affair! The classic style was timeless, yet modern – just like Margaret and Ryan’s love story!

Excitement filled the air as Margaret and her bridesmaids spent the morning getting ready together. Margaret took a moment to herself to open her wedding day gift from Ryan, just as Ryan opened his gift from Margaret in his own hotel suite! The two laughed over the inside jokes in each of their cards and were surprised by the sentimental gifts. It was the perfect way for this sweet couple to connect before they saw each other for the first time at the church!

Margaret looked stunning in her simply classic Atelier Pronovias gown. Her mother helped her zip up her dress and Margaret slipped on her “something blue” sparkling Jimmy Choo shoes. Margaret descended the grand staircase into the hotel’s lobby for a touching first look with her dad – it was a beautiful moment between a father and his daughter! Margaret’s father escorted her to St. Patrick’s Cathedral in a 1960’s yellow checkered cab, the perfect New York touch.

Margaret and Ryan chose a St. Patrick’s Cathedral wedding in honor of Margaret’s great-grandparents who had also married at the famous NYC landmark in 1920. I loved the unique experience of getting married at St. Patrick’s Cathedral! Along with their family and friends, all of the tourists rose as Margaret made her long walk down the aisle! The cathedral made for an absolutely beautiful ceremony. After their first kiss as husband and wife, Margaret and Ryan exited the church and the whole congregation broke out in celebratory applause. The newlyweds hopped into the vintage yellow cab to share their first moments as a married couple in classic NYC style. Margaret and Ryan couldn’t stop smiling as they toasted champagne and made their way to Central Park.

Margaret and Ryan joined their family and friends for photos at Central Park landmarks such as the Bethesda Terrace, The Lake, and Bethesda Fountain. After group photos, the bride and groom held hands and strolled around posing for their Central Park wedding photos on Bow Bridge. It was a perfect day with gorgeous scenery and so much love between Margaret and Ryan!

Margaret and Ryan are college sweethearts and met as members of the Fairfield University Swimming & Diving team. Their friends celebrated their engagement by gifting them a custom ring dish by Magic Markings Art featuring Fairfield University’s Bellarmine Mansion. The couple’s beautiful Loeb Boathouse Central Park wedding included over 50 alumni and current students from their alma mater! The whole swim team went crazy on the dance floor to their unofficial team song: “Body Language” by Jesse McCartney featuring T-Pain.

Every detail of Margaret and Ryan’s Central Park Boathouse wedding was completely perfect. Margaret thought of everything! She provided pashminas and flip flops to help guests get comfortable at the reception. She even arranged to donate all of their gorgeous Lenox Hill Florist flowers to BloomAgainBklyn, a non-profit which refurbishes floral arrangements and distributes them to home-bound seniors and nursing homes in NYC. The love Margaret and Ryan have for each other, their families, and their friends made this day one to remember!

I am so happy to share some of my favorite moments from Margaret and Ryan’s stunning Loeb Boathouse Central Park wedding! Margaret and Ryan, thank you both so much for choosing me to capture your wedding day. It was an absolute honor and I wish you so much happiness!
