The bridal suite was abuzz with happy and excited chatter on that warm September day. Girls in floral pink robes sipped on champagne as the finishing touches to their hair and makeup were applied. Joy radiated from Jen as she looked around. Surrounded by her closest friends, she couldn’t imagine a more perfect beginning to this special day.
After spending a laid back morning in the grooms shack with the guys, Bill made the long walk out to the end of the wooden dock, the place where he would see Jen for the first time. He couldn’t believe the day had finally arrived where he would marry the carefree girl he fell in love with in that photography class so many years ago. Excitement built as he heard the tiny clicks of Jen’s heels making their way towards him, her long veil blowing silently in the wind. Turning around, a huge smile spread across Bill’s face at the sight of his gorgeous bride. In that moment, he felt like the luckiest man in the world.
A few happy tears, lots of laughter, and congratulatory cheers of joy followed in the couples’s romantic ceremony in an open air chapel on the water. Officially husband and wife, Jen and Bill spent the rest of the evening wrapped in each other’s arms, dancing the night away with their family and friends. Their Mallard Island Yacht Club wedding was one for the books, and I can’t wait to share many of the emotional and beautiful moments from their day below.
Jen actually made all the bouquets herself, attaching a photo of her father to her own bouquet. They were a labor of love and they came together beautifully!
Jen made her way out to the end of the old wooden dock to see Bill for the first time.
Jen’s nails were her very creative “something blue”.
Remember these paper fortune tellers from middle school? Bill and Jen actually used them for their programs!
Jen and Bill’s ceremony at Mallard Island Yacht Club took place in an open air chapel on the water.
Salt water taffy favors and a delicious cake from Carlo’s Bakery kept guest’s sweet tooth satisfied all night.
Thank you again Jen and Bill for giving me the opportunity to be a part of your romantic Mallard Island Yacht Club wedding. I wish you both all the happiness in the world in the years to come.
Amy great job on Jen and Bill’s wedding. You captured many beautiful moments that will be remembered for a long time. I love the photo of Jen and Bill in the Gazebo at the end of the dock after dark.
