For a bride, wedding dress shopping might be the most exciting part of the ENTIRE planning process!  If you are anything like me, you have been dreaming of what it will feel like to slip on the dress that will make you feel just as beautiful as Princess Diana, Grace Kelly, or Audrey Hepburn since you were a little girl.  Finding that one perfect dress can feel like winning an all expense paid trip to Disney World, and today, I want to share some of that excitement on the blog!  That’s right…today I am interviewing one of my beautiful brides (and close friends) Kelli Rogers.  She found her wedding dress this weekend at Kleinfeld in NYC and hopes her experience will help inspire others brides who are searching for their dress as well!

Meet Kelli!  This photograph was taken with her fabulous consultant Dianne right after she said YES TO THE DRESS!

Kelli explained, “Dianne took me around the showroom and helped me pick out dresses based on how I told her I wanted to look on my wedding day.  When we got back to the dressing room, there was one dress I couldn’t take my eyes off of.  Dianne picked up on it and put me in this dress first.  That first dress ended up being THE DRESS!  Dianne really listened to what I wanted and truly helped me find the perfect dress for me.”

How did you know this dress was your wedding dress Kelli?

“The best way to explain it…I just knew.  When I put it on I felt exactly like Grace Kelly, one of the first pins on my wedding Pinterest board!  I couldn’t find a single thing wrong with the dress and I didn’t want to take it off.  Everything about the dress felt absolutely right.”

You live in Tennessee.  What made you want to travel to New York City to search for your wedding dress?

“I had tried on wedding dresses before, but I couldn’t find exactly what I wanted.  I love New York City and I figured with so many options, I HAD to discover what I was looking for here.”

“There is something about Kleinfeld that just feels magical.  I had pictured the perfect dress in my head but I didn’t think it existed.  When I explained to Dianne what I wanted, she was able to lead me to a dress that met all of my very specific expectations.  Dianne was very intuitive and just knew what I wanted.  The customer service, dress selection, and over all experience at Kleinfeld is second to none!”  

What do you think your fiancé Brian will do when you walk down the aisle in your dress?

“Cry.  Well…at least I hope he will.  And he will think I look HOT!” 

Who did you bring with you to your appointment?

“My mom, my mom’s best friend, and my maid of honor Stephanie.  They did a great job in helping me discern exactly what I wanted and supporting me when I fell in love with my dress.”  Stephanie explained, “When Kelli came out in her dress, she looked like a princess!  You could just tell she was really happy.”  Kelli’s mom Jenny added, “Seeing Kelli in her dress was truly magical.  It really was a phenomenal feeling.  She looked so elegant and instantly reminded me of Princess Diana.”
