A SWEET TENNESSEE ENGAGEMENT : LORI + ASHLEY

The sun came up slowly over the gently rolling hills in Tennessee.  It was Easter weekend and Lori and Ashley were up early for their engagement session.  Before meeting Ashley at his parents house, Lori stopped at Pals to pick him up an order of cheddar rounds and a sweet tea.  In the tri-cities area, there is nothing better than a sweet tea from Pals, even at 7:30 in the morning.  As we pulled up to the spot Ashley and Lori had chosen for their engagement photos, I couldn’t help but gasp.  In every direction, there were fields and fields of wild flowers.  A small red barn sat upon the hill, housing a tractor and a barrel of hay.  It could’t have been more perfect.

I am so excited to share Lori and Ashley’s engagement photos with you!  Lori has been my best friend since high school so this couple holds a special place in my heart.  I am truly honored they have chosen me to capture their wedding day this October and I am already counting down the days!  Enjoy your engagement Lori and Ashley, these next few months are going to fly!

We started out the engagement session in Morristown, TN, at Ashley’s parents home.

The morning light pouring in was absolutely GORGEOUS!

Lori was looking SO beautiful, Ashley couldn’t take his eyes off his bride to be.

Joining us for the engagement session were Lori and Ashley’s dogs/children, Piper and Luna!

Piper and Luna were SO good at posing for the camera!  They accompanied Lori and Ashley in the cutest save the date EVER!

I pinky promise I will love you forever.

LOVE.

Piper and Luna are going to be a big part of the wedding day.  They are even going to walk down the aisle!

STOP IT!  You guys are TOO adorable!

Lori is a first grade teacher, and so creative.  She actually mod lodged this “H” to represent their new last name, Horner.

Lori and Ashley are huge football fans…for opposite teams!  Lori put on her Alabama shirt while Ashely sported his Tennessee shirt for some fun pictures!

I am totally in love with these pictures on top of the hay barrel.  The light was seriously perfect.

This might be my favorite.

After we finished at the farm, we headed up to Knoxville, TN for a few more engagement photos.

First stop, the Tennessee Theatre.  Lori and Ashley saw Sabrina here last year and this place has been special to them ever since.

We took these photos in an alley behind the theatre.  I loved the lamp shining above this cute table.

Lori and Ashley, I can’t imagine two people more perfect for each other.  Thank you for letting me spend the day with you in East Tennessee.  I had a blast and I can’t wait for the wedding.  It will be here before you know it!
