It was a beautiful day in New York City.  With the sun sparkling off the Manhattan buildings in the background, Jess and Matt made their way across the Brooklyn Bridge and toward Matt’s old stomping grounds.  Entering one of the waterfront parks, Matt commented on how much the area had changed since he grew up there! Walking hand in hand down the wooden pier, Jess and Matt looked relaxed and so happy together.  It truly was a perfect day and I am so happy I got to spend it with this amazing couple.

Jess and Matt are tying the knot at the Park Savoy next spring and I couldn’t be more excited for them!  Check out a few of my favorite photographs from their Brooklyn Bridge engagement session below.

You only have to spend a few moments with Jess and Matt to realize how much they love each other.

They are constantly laughing and seem to have an ease about their relationship that is truly beautiful.

LOVE.

Jess and Matt, thank you so much for such a fabulous day!  I am already looking forward to your wedding next spring. 🙂  HAPPY MONDAY!

The day was a beautiful one filled with so much love.  Friends and family gathered from all over the country to see a couple they truly cared about promise to spend the rest of their lives together.  John and Katie actually began dating nine years ago after meeting fatefully in a NJ diner one evening!  As their relationship grew, John quickly realized Katie was someone he wanted in his life forever. On July 4, 2010, he proposed to Katie on a putting green near the ocean. Katie happily agreed, throwing her arms around John as fireworks burst brilliantly overhead.  This sweet couple tied the knot in a very special church ceremony before dancing the night away with their family and friends!

Katie and John, thank you so much for allowing me the honor of capturing your gorgeous New York Counrty Club wedding.  It really was an incredible day!   Enjoy a few of my favorite images from your pretty wedding below.

Katie wore a gorgeous Maggie Sottero gown.  I loved the lace details!

There were many smiles and a few happy tears as Katie slipped on her beautiful dress.

A big thanks to Jess of Love & Light Photographs for being an incredible second shooter.  I love this lovely photograph of the bouquets she captured right before the girls headed to the church.

I think the ceremony was my favorite part of the entire day!  It was just so special.

John was in awe when he saw how beautiful Katie looked walking down the aisle.

HAPPILY MARRIED!

The New York Country Club is such a gorgeous place for a wedding.  I love these pretty white columns leading into the venue.

What an amazing bridal party!

It is obvious how much Katie and John love each other.  They were constantly laughing together and enjoyed every minute in one another’s arms.

LOVE.

After a few heartfelt toasts, Katie and John danced the night away!

Seriously…you guys are so much FUN!

Katie and John, thank you again for allowing me to capture your incredible wedding day.  I wish you both all the happiness in the world as you enjoy your first year of marriage together!

I fell in love with these books the first minute I saw them.  The classic look of the dust jacket, the amazing texture of the cream colored exterior, and the soft natural feel of the pages…they are perfect.  When I received my sample copy last week filled with Ali and Nathan’s gorgeous images, I made room on my bookshelf to proudly display it on the top.

I am so happy to announce I will be offering these pretty books to my couples!  A great way to display your engagement photos, these books look so pretty sitting casually on top of a coffee table.  They could also serve as the perfect guest signing book at your wedding.  Check out a few lovely photos of my new engagement/guest signing books below!

Each page includes one image.  I love the way it allows for individual photographs to really stand out.

The printed interior pages are made from 100% recycled products.

While some pages are filled completely with photographs, others leave plenty of room for guests to sign or write sweet messages.

I hope you love these pretty engagement/guest signing books as much as I do!  I can’t wait to hear your thoughts!

It was Monday night when I got the text from Michelle.  “I saw your photograph in The Knot!  Congratulations!”   “The Knot website?”  I asked, thinking she was talking about Meena and Bill.  “No, The Knot Magazine“, she exclaimed!  Sure enough, when I opened up a Fall/Winter copy of The Knot New York there was a full page photograph of Shelby and Zach I had captured looking so happy on the top of the Hornblower Yacht!

I am so incredibly excited to see my photograph in print in one of my favorite magazines!  Grab a copy and check it out (on page 243) today!  Want to see more of Shelby and Zach?  Check out the entire blog feature here!

It was Sunday morning, a very special Sunday morning in fact.  Reverend Marshall was preparing for his first sermon as Pastor of Reedy Creek Presbyterian Church. Feeling excited, he stepped in front of the congregation he would quickly come to love and invited God’s presence among them.  Looking up, Marshall smiled at the pretty girl in the purple dress sitting with his parents.  He and Deanna had been friends in college, keeping in touch even when time and distance came between them. He felt lucky to have the support of a women that loved God just as much as he did.

Deanna felt lucky as well.  When she agreed to attend Marshall’s service that day, she had no idea that this would be the beginning of their incredible love story.  After that first Sunday at Reedy Creek, Deanna and Marshall began spending more and more time together.  They quickly fell in love, knowing without a doubt that they were meant to be together.  On May 14th, Deanna came over to Marshall’s house to find a beautiful scene he had created in his backyard just for her.  Getting down on one knee Marshall asked Deanna to spend forever with him!  Deanna quickly agreed, a huge smile spreading across her face as she threw her arms around the man she loved.  Deanna and Marshall are tying the knot on October 19, 2013 and I couldn’t be more excited for them!

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of capturing Deanna and Marshall’s beautiful engagement session at Reedy Creek Presbyterian Church and Steele Creek Park in Tennessee.  Enjoy a few of my favorite photos from the day below!

It was really incredible to have the opportunity to photograph Deanna and Marshall in the church that means so much to both of them!

I was in love with these beautiful old doors, original to the church!

Deanna and Marshall were laughing freely all day.  It is obvious to see how happy they are going to be together.

LOVE.

Deanna, you truly are SO BEAUTIFUL!  Your smile and love for life and others is contagious.

Feeling adventurous, Deanna and Marshall waded barefoot into the creek.

To end the session, they got into a playful splash fight in the water!

Deanna and Marshall, thank you so much for spending the morning with me.  It was a true honor to capture your engagement session.  I wish you both endless amounts of love and happiness in the future!
