Jamie and Damien’s Spring Lake Bath and Tennis Club wedding was everything a wedding at the shore should be, classic, relaxed, and so much fun!  Jamie spent the morning getting ready with her bridesmaids just a few blocks away from the water.  They sipped champagne, rotated in and out of the hair and make-up chair, and opened gifts.  Jamie surprised all of her bridesmaids with adorable Beau and Ro bags and Damien gifted Jamie a new set of golf clubs!  Damien got ready at his parent’s house just a few minutes away.  This was the house he and Jamie created so many wonderful memories in over the past few summers.  Jamie’s mom helped her slip into her two piece Monique Lhuillier gown before they headed to St Catherine’s church for the ceremony.  It was an amazing start to an absolutely perfect day.

In front of their family and friends, Jamie and Damien promised to stand by one another always. They shared their first kiss and exited the church to the joyous sounds of a bag piper, officially husband and wife!  After a quick stop by the Parker House, we headed to the beach to capture some sweet portraits of the two of them.  We finished just in time for Jamie and Damien to enjoy bacon wrapped scallops and the Spring Laker (the couple’s signature drink) at cocktail hour!  As the sun set behind the pool, guests headed inside Spring Lake Bath and Tennis Club to enjoy a night full of delicious food and so much dancing!  Thank you Jamie and Damien for including me in your incredible celebration!  Enjoy reliving a few of my favorite moments from your wedding day below.

This past weekend, Sue and Chris were married at a private estate in Connecticut.  It was a beautiful sunny day, the perfect day for a wedding! When I arrived, Sue was in the back getting ready.  As she put the finishing touches on her hair and make-up, I was taken by the way her mother watched quietly from around the corner, admiring how beautiful her daughter looked. Friends and family began arriving in groups, tucking in and out of the house before meandering around the gorgeous property. Chris helped escort guests to the top of the hill for the ceremony, touched to have so many loved ones come out to celebrate such a special occasion.

Happy tears sprung to many eyes as Sue’s father walked her down the aisle.  As Chris and Sue shared the vows they had memorized, those close to them stood on each side.  Karen was Sue’s maid of honor.  They have been best friends since they were FIVE!  Chris’ son CJ was officiating the ceremony and his youngest son Nicholas was the best man.  Rings were exchanged under a canopy of trees and cheers rang out as Sue and Chris were pronounced husband and wife!  A pond side reception followed with plenty of great conversation, a delicious dinner, and so much dancing!  The golden sunset turned into a dusky blue sky just as Sue and Chris cut the cake.  It was a beautiful evening filled with so much love.

Does it get any dreamier than a field of golden sunflowers, champagne by the lake, and a stroll along the Erie Canal?  Amanda and Andrew’s engagement session in Rochester, NY was so special as I got to see where this sweet couple fell in love!  Andrew recalls really noticing Amanda for the first time at a party they were both attending while in medical school.  “Not only did Amanda have the most amazing smile, she could hold a conversation.  I watched her make her way around the room, realizing she was as smart as she was beautiful.”  Their relationship grew during many hours of studying at the library, shared ice cream along the Erie Canal, and relaxing weekends at the lake.  I loved revisiting these locations during their Rochester engagement session, and I can’t wait to share a few of my favorite moments below!

There are so many beautiful moments during a wedding, but the ones that take place in the morning are some of my favorites.  It was August 20th, Jen and Dan’s wedding day!  As I arrived to the Lotte New York Palace, a quick summer shower made its way across Manhattan. The pitter-patter created a gentle hum throughout the bridal suite, the drops clinging to the windows and glistening in the sun.  Jen looked absolutely beautiful, even before she slipped on her Mira Zwillinger gown!  She spent the morning sipping on champagne, chatting with her bridesmaids, and showering her adorable nieces with gifts.  Dan and his groomsmen relaxed a few floors away, popping champagne as Dan handed out the gifts he had custom made for them.  It was the perfect start to what turned out to be an absolutely amazing day.

After an emotional first look on the roof of the New York Palace, Jen and Dan were married in front of their family and friends!  Cheers rang out as Dan expertly twirled Jen around the dance floor and the laughter was practically uncontrollable during the toasts.  The band kept guests dancing all night, with short breaks to enjoy a delicious dinner and the ever famous Ron Ben-Israel cake!  The detailing on it even matched Jen’s dress!  Tate’s cookies made for the perfect sweet treat at the end of the evening.

Jen and Dan, thank you for including me in your incredible wedding at the Lotte New York Palace!  It is easy to see how deeply you care for one another, and capturing your love story has brought me so much joy. But God demonstrates His own love towards us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. -Romans 5:8  There really is nothing like the incredible love of our heavenly Father! Erica and Ian’s wedding was centered around this beautiful truth. They invited God into the heart of their marriage, giving all the glory to Him.

Erica started out the day by getting ready at her parents house with all 10 of her bridesmaids! The laughter from the morning melted into tears of joy as Erica’s mom helped her slip into the gorgeous wedding dress, custom made just for her.  Her bridesmaids oohed and awed at how beautiful Erica looked before laying hands on her and praying the sweetest words over their marriage.  Erica’s first look with her dad had everyone in the room in tears.  They just kept flowing as Erica read Ian’s vows to her in a handwritten letter delivered with a lovely gift containing her new monogram.  Ian tried hard not to get emotional as he read Erica’s vows to him, but he admitted it was tough!  He spent the morning hanging out with his groomsmen, “cheersing” with their awesome custom mugs, and showing off the new ring that would soon become a daily fixture on his hand!

When it was finally time for their ceremony, the sun came out, glistening across the lake at the Indian Trail Club.  The words of 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 lined the aisle as Erica made her way towards Ian.  Happy tears trickled down both of their cheeks.  Erica and Ian promised to love each other forever before taking communion and weaving a cord of three strands together to signify God’s presence at the heart of their marriage.  Cheers of joy rang out at their first kiss, and the celebration continued as guest made their way inside for a delicious dinner and a night filled with DANCING!  It was truly an incredible day, and I feel so lucky to have been a part of it.
