There are those moments in life.  Those special moments that make you smile from ear to ear, moments that stand out, moments you know you will always remember.  On January 1, 2014 I opened my inbox to find an email that made my heart beat faster, racing with the joy and excitement of good news! “CONGRATULATIONS!  YOU ARE A 2014 THE KNOT BEST OF WEDDINGS WINNER!”  A tiny squeal escaped my lips as I explained to my husband Matt what this meant.  You see, The Knot bases the best of wedding winners on the reviews from real brides and grooms in the area.  Thanks to the incredible reviews from all my sweet couples, I was voted #1 in BOTH the New York, Manhattan and New Jersey market!

As I sit here sipping my carmel almond amaretti tea and watching the snow fall gently from my window, I couldn’t feel more thankful.  Thankful for each and every couple who has blessed me with the opportunity to be a part of their gorgeous wedding day.  Thankful for their super sweet reviews.  Thankful for the constant, unwavering support from friends and  family.  Most importantly, thankful to my incredible Creator for blessing me beyond my wildest dreams.  None of this would be possible without you.

If you would like to check out my pretty new badges in person, feel free to visit my Knot features here and here.  🙂  HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

I love it when my couples are featured!  After all the thought and planning that goes into a wedding day, it is nice when they are able to act as inspiration to other brides and grooms planning their special day.   I am so excited to share that Tre and Eddie’s gorgeous Mayfair Farms wedding is featured on the Un- Jersey Bride! With the deep purples, rich blues, and adorable details unique to the couple, this is an affair you won’t want to miss.  Head over to the Un-Jersey Bride and leave Tre + Eddie some love today!

I am so excited to share that Kelly and Mark‘s surprise candlelight proposal is featured on Style Me Pretty New York!  This couple’s incredible story is one of my favorites and it was so much fun reliving it today.  Check out all the sweet moments on Style Me Pretty, or read more about their fairytale of an evening below.

A warm breeze slipped through an open window, rustling softly through Kelly’s hair.  Even though she was blindfolded, she could smell the richness of candles burning all around her.  As her boyfriend of 6 1/2 years lead her into their NYC suite, a feeling of giddiness and anticipation completely overwhelmed her.

Mark couldn’t believe the moment was finally here!  He placed Kelly in front of the beautiful scene he had so carefully planned, making his way over to the iPod dock. As music from his “Saturday Night” play list filled the room, Mark punched in a four digit code and pulled two items out of the safe.  Excitement building, he finally walked over to Kelly and removed the blindfold.

The scene that filled Kelly’s eyes took her breath away.  In front of her lay hundreds of candles, a table filled with her favorite flowers, and a single book created just for her.  Kelly sat down and started to read.  In her hands she held a love story, her love story.  Tiny tears of happiness found their way to the corners of her eyes as she absorbed the heartfelt words Mark had written. Just before Kelly reached the final page, Mark took her by the hands and told her how much he loved her.  A small gasp escaped Kelly’s lips as Mark got down on one knee and pulled out an engagement ring!  As the man of her dreams asked her to marry him, Kelly threw her arms around him and said YES!  Slipping on the ring he had hand-crafted just for her, Mark smiled.  Softly kissing Kelly’s hand, he felt like the luckiest man in the world.
