It was a random series of events that brought them together. Don’t the best love stories always start that way?  Tara was out in Hoboken with her girl friends when a good looking group of guys came over and started talking to them. Kris wasn’t with them, but he knew a few others in the group and friends told Tara they had to meet!

A short time passed before Tara and Kris finally ran into one another at a mutual friend’s apartment. Tara was immediately drawn in by Kris’ trusting eyes. He had a quiet sense of confidence that made Tara feel safe and protected.   Kris was attracted to Tara’s vivacious personality and he loved that she was always up for an adventure.  They are the perfect example that opposites can come together to form the perfect match.

Recently, I had the pleasure of capturing Kris and Tara’s beautiful engagement session!  We started on the Hudson River in West New York and then took the ferry across to Manhattan. As the sun set, we walked the High Line and watched the bright city lights come to life. Tara and Kris, it was a joy spending the afternoon documenting your playful love for each other!  Check out some of my favorite photos from the day below!

Tara and Kris are tying the knot on August 18, 2012!  I just know their wedding is going to be amazing and I am looking forward to capturing this special day.

Tara showed up to the engagement session looking INCREDIBLE!  Kris, you are one lucky man! 🙂

In our first few minutes together, it was obvious how much Tara and Kris love each other.

Kris used this sweet ornament to propose to Tara last December!  It will always be the most special ornament on their tree.

After taking pictures in West New York by the Hudson River, we took the NY Waterway across to Manhattan.

Tara and Kris enjoyed the ride across together as they watched the golden sun set over the water.

Tara’s ring is stunning!  Kris actually used her grandmother’s diamond for the center stone.

Kris is seriously SUCH a good guy.  There is no doubt he will be Tara’s rock.

Kris and Tara’s playful personalities are one of my favorite things about them!  They are constantly laughing and having fun together.

When we reached Manhattan, we walked over to the NYC High Line for a few more photos.

Tara and Kris, thank you for being so WONDERFUL!  You are adorable together and I just know your future will be filled with happiness and love.
