A rainbow is such a beautiful promise, one made with love from God to the world. How perfect that on the day Jackie and Steve promised to spend forever loving one another, a gorgeous rainbow should grace the sky!  Jackie and Steve were married this past weekend at Rock Island Lake Club.  They shared their first look on a private dock as their friends and family watched from the balcony.  Cheers could be heard as Steve gave Jackie a twirl, checking out his bride for the first time.  He always thought she was pretty, but she looked exceptionally radiant today! Their ceremony took place on a small beach at the water’s edge.  Clouds rolled in as Jackie and Steve exchanged their vows, and the breeze that brought them was welcomed by guests on this warm summer day.  Only a few minutes after this sweet couple shared their first kiss as husband and wife, the skies opened up.  Everyone made it inside for cocktail hour just in time!  Moments before Jackie and Steve were ready to be introduced into their reception, the sun reappeared, bringing a rainbow with it!  “I feel like this is truly an answer to prayers!” Jackie exclaimed.  “I was so worried that the forecast was predicting an 80% chance of rain, but it really has turned out to be the perfect day.”  I couldn’t have agreed more.

Congratulations again Jackie and Steve!  Your Rock Island Lake Club wedding was so much fun and I feel so honored to have been there to capture it!  Enjoy reliving some of my favorite moments below. 🙂
