Same day slideshows might be one of my favorite gifts I give to couples on their wedding day!  When I was a bride, I can remember how much I was looking forward to seeing my wedding photos.  Not the iPhone pictures my friends snapped of me getting down on the dance floor…no.  I wanted to see my professional photos, photos that told the entire story of my day in a beautiful way!

Remembering how I felt as a bride has played a big part in the decision to include the “same day slideshow” into my process on the wedding day.  While dinner is going on I will upload and back up my photos.  (No one wants photos of them stuffing their face after all!)  Then I will choose between 35-50 of the best pictures, taking about five minutes to retouch them slightly before I am finished!  I will start the slideshow in Lightroom or upload the photos to my iPad before calling my bride and groom over for a special surprise!  Reactions vary from laughter, tears, to big hugs all around!  The bride and groom end their evening feeling happy and totally taken care of, and that is exactly how I want it to be.

One of the things I use to accompany the same day slideshow are these ADORABLE mini moo cards!  I select a few of my favorite photos from the couple’s engagement session and print them on the front.  On the back I let guests know when the photos will be ready and where they can find them!  This is awesome because it gives people at the wedding access to all of the fun photos captured of them throughout the night, as well as an easy way to find me if they want to get in touch for a future wedding!  It is a win/win!  Check out these sweet mini moos from Kris and Tara’s wedding last weekend!
