I am so excited to share this sneak peek of Nimali and Mayoor’s Hindu wedding from last Saturday!  This beautiful couple pledged to spend their lives together at the Hyatt Regency in Jersey City, NJ with the stunning Manhattan skyline as the backdrop to their day.   I was blessed to be invited to second shoot for Studio Nine Photography by Jonathan Rubin out of Philadelphia, PA.  Click here to see their AMAZING work. I will be posting more of Namali and Mayoor’s wedding soon…stay tuned!
Namali and Mayoor started their day together with a quiet stroll by the Hudson River.
The ceremony was held outdoors, with the beautiful New York City skyline in the background.  Namali and Mayoor couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day.
I was absolutely amazed by the many rituals of the traditional Hindu wedding.  As Mayoor pledged to take care of his wife, Namali’s father accepted this promise by pouring water on his hands.  This is called the paani graham.

Namali and Mayoor’s true love and respect for each other was constantly visible throughout the ceremony.  I am really looking forward to sharing their full wedding story soon!  HAPPY WEDNESDAY!

A feeling of pride and appreciation washed over me as I carefully opened the legal looking document that arrived in the mail, addressed to me.  I reflected back to how I felt a few months ago at the thought of owning my own business, hoping for the best but unsure of where to begin.  Thanks to God’s grace and a lot of support from family and friends, it is now officially official.   I am legally the business owner of Amy Rizzuto Photography, LLC and I couldn’t be more excited!  Thank you to everyone who has encouraged me to go after my dream.  To you, I am forever grateful.

“No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.  Thursday night I came home to this beautiful bouquet of flowers from my sweet husband.  Even sweeter than the smell of the yellow roses was the note nestled on top.  It read, “I love you!  Congrats on your recent success my little photographer!!  Love, Matthew”

As I took in the words, an overwhelming feeling of love and appreciation came over me as I realized how truly blessed I am to have such a supportive husband.  I love you Matt.  Thank you for constantly encouraging me on this exciting adventure!

Oh the place cards!!  This is a wedding detail that can only be done once all the RSVPs are received, usually within a month of the wedding day.  When planning a wedding, sometimes this can be the last thing you want to do right before the big day.

That being said, I do believe it is important to take time to beautify your place cards, keeping them consistent with your theme.  I love the way Brittany did this so effortlessly at last weekend’s wedding.  Brittany and Troy had their reception right on the water in Sandy Hook, NJ.  To continue their beachy theme, Brittany tied her place cards onto little black sand dollars.  The couple laid them in a sandbox right at the entrance of the reception.   I thought they were absolutely beautiful!

It was early in the morning, September 24th to be exact.  With a level of excitement they had never felt before, Stephanie and John hopped in the car and drove to the hospital.  They were ready to meet their sweet baby for the first time.  As it was two weeks before Stephanie’s due date, these soon to be parents quickly called all of their family and friends, passing on the exciting news.  Soon there would be a brand new member of the family.  Around 11 a.m. that fall morning, Olivia Anne Dale made her way out of her mommy’s belly and into her loving parents arms.  At 6 pounds, 3 ounces, little Olivia was the most beautiful thing Stephanie and John had ever seen.

Last Thursday I was so blessed to photograph Olivia’s newborn pictures at only five days old!  I hope you enjoy the pictures of this beautiful baby girl as much as I do!

Olivia was so excited to have her picture taken, she started dancing in front of my camera!  She is a natural STAR!

This little girl had an endless amount of expressions!  I am totally IN LOVE with the one above.
Stephanie and John holding little Olivia in their arms.  I couldn’t help sneaking around the side to grab this picture of her tiny toes!
Snuggled up in a blue Tiffany’s box, this baby girl already has impeccable taste.
Olivia’s small fingers were constantly grasped around her mommy and daddy’s comforting hands.
Half way through the shoot, baby Olivia drifted to sleep.  Here I think it looks like she could be floating on a cloud.
Proud new papa.
There is SO much to LOVE in these two pictures!  Stephanie, you look AMAZING!  Who can fit into a gown five days after giving birth?  You and Olivia look like you belong in another world, one where fairy princesses rule over the kingdom.
Olivia loves her mommy’s “push present” almost as much as Stephanie does.  This engraved Tiffany’s necklace from John is absolutely beautiful.
Olivia is ready for fall!

Congratulations Stephanie and John on the new addition to you family!  It was an honor capturing memories of Olivia in her earliest days.  I wish you all a life filled with happiness and love!
